Sophia Antipolis - INRAE PACA - A010

As part of the ISA scientific event to be held this Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11 a.m. in room A010, Renaud Brouquisse, a young apprentice in the SYMBIOSE team, will give a presentation open to the general public.

Abstract :

Since the second half of the 20th century, scientific and technical progress has led to the establishment of a productivist and consumerist system that has greatly stimulated the economy, international trade and world demographics. However, the negative effects of such a system on the environment and human health have led to the emergence of a model of "sustainable development" that takes account of the economy, social well-being and the environment. The principles of sustainable agriculture are based on the conservation of soil, water and biodiversity, as well as the fight against desertification and the sustainable management of natural pastures. With these principles in mind, the aim of this presentation is to outline the benefits of legumes - as a source of plant protein and green manure - in terms of their agronomic, nutritional, economic and societal impact.
