Presentations of three private companies (startups)

05 May 2025

Sophia Antipolis - INRAE PACA - 10:30 am

Due to the upcoming bridges, the next ISA scientific animation will exceptionally take place on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10:30 am in room A010. On this occasion, we will attend the presentations of three private companies (startups) currently hosted on the INRAE Sophia-Antipolis site:

Abstract :

Innofenso, Nicolas Ris (10:30 a.m.)

Innofenso's ambition is to develop “macro-organism” biocontrol solutions (in the short term, Trichogramma against Lepidoptera):

- by betting on a more judicious exploitation of the diversity of indigenous auxiliaries, an exploitation underpinned by (i) better knowledge of the ecology of candidate strains, (ii) increased phenotyping capabilities and (iii) more relevant field evaluation methods.

- by focusing on “orphan” markets, i.e. territories and/or sectors facing major problems for the players involved, but which are not necessarily a priority beyond that in terms of R&D.

The presentation will provide an opportunity to take stock after just over a year's existence.

Evolutive Agronomy, Lucie Monticelli & Antoine Pasquier (11:00 a.m.)

Increasing legal constraints, the need for production and pressure from public opinion are forcing farmers to use plant protection methods that are more respectful of the environment and mankind. Nicolas Desneux, Lucie Monticelli and Antoine Pasquier are convinced that research is developing solutions that could help farmers if they were brought to the field. Evolutive Agronomy, a biocontrol company created by researchers, aims to fluidify this continuum between fundamental and applied research, and thus offer effective solutions for agriculture. The company's first topic concerns the use of predatory soil mites to combat phytophagous nematodes.

Mycophyto, Elena Bovio (11:30 a.m.)

Since 2017, MYCOPHYTO has been developing innovative biosolutions for sustainable, regenerative agriculture. Specializing in the selection and production of mycorrhizal fungi adapted to each crop and territory, the company offers natural solutions to limit the use of chemical inputs, optimize yields and strengthen crop resilience in the face of change and climate.

MYCOPHYTO is also involved in collaborative research projects with public and private partners, focusing on themes with high environmental and technological impact. It is in this context that we are participating in the BIOMIMALP' project, which aims to develop biomimetic solutions to secure the supply of Arnica montana and preserve alpine biodiversity threatened by climate change and overexploitation of resources.
