“Metabolomics: a tool to decipher living systems”

“Metabolomics: a tool to decipher living systems”

16 January 2026

11:00 am - Sophia Antipolis - INRAE PACA

As part of the ISA scientific event taking place this Friday, 16 January at 11 a.m. in room A010, Blandine Madji Hounoum, research engineer at PlantBIOs and scientific manager of the analytical biochemistry platform, will present her career path. Her presentation will be followed by a presentation of the platform and its tools (Blandine Madji Hounoum and Aurélie Seassau: research engineer at PlantBIOs and operational manager of the analytical biochemistry platform).

Abstract :

Before joining ISA as a Research Engineer in analytical biochemistry, Blandine developed expertise in metabolomics during her PhD at the MetaboHub platform in Tours. She later contributed to lipidomics development at the CAPABIO platform (IPMC) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at C3M within the “Metabolism and Cancer” team, working on a translational multi-omics project. She will illustrate how metabolomics provides valuable tools to understand biological mechanisms, identify metabolic signatures, and open new perspectives.
