JAMMES Fabien

Molecular Physiology; Plant-atmosphere interface; Susceptibility to oomycetes

Dr. Fabien Jammes earned his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Côte d'Azur University. He held postdoctoral and faculty roles in France and the U.S., including positions at the University of Maryland and Pomona College (California), before returning in 2024 to the Institut Sophia Agrobiotech as an Associate Professor at Côte d'Azur University.

Dr. Jammes’s research aims to unravel the molecular and cellular mechanisms that enable plants to adapt to environmental challenges. His current work focuses in particular on stomata, the microscopic gateways at the plant–atmosphere interface, and their pivotal role in plant susceptibility against pathogens.
